Community Celebration Marks Major Milestone in Old Settlers Park Enhancements |
The City of Round Rock is thrilled to announce the grand opening of the new Lakeview Pavilion and Stage at Old Settlers Park, featuring a special performance by acclaimed musical artist Allen Stone.
The event, titled Lakeview Kickoff: A Stone in the Park, is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, at 3300 E. Palm Valley Blvd.
The evening will commence with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Mayor Craig Morgan and the City Council, followed by a spectacular fireworks display.
This celebration marks the completion of the first major improvement from the 2023 voter-approved G.O. bonds projects, underscoring the community's commitment to enhancing public spaces.
The new two-story Lakeview Pavilion nearly triples the size of the previous structure, which will remain standing.
Designed to serve as a central gathering place, the pavilion and stage will host concerts, cultural events, and community celebrations for years to come.
To better accommodate both everyday park visitors and major events, the project also includes larger, modern restroom facilities.
Additionally, plans are underway for a new Joanne Land Playground, further enhancing the park's amenities.
Beyond the Lakeview area, Old Settlers Park is undergoing significant upgrades, including an expansion of Rock’N River Waterpark, a new athletic performance center, tennis and pickleball courts, improvements to pedestrian walkways and Harrell Parkway, and an expansion of the Multipurpose Complex.
Residents and visitors are invited to join in this historic moment as the Lakeview Stage lights up for the very first time.
