Join Travis Audubon for an enlightening virtual presentation on bird conservation

Discover the vital work of the Gulf Coast Bird Observatory (GCBO) in an upcoming virtual event hosted by Travis Audubon.

On Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 8:15 PM, delve into the world of bird conservation with Martin Hagne, Executive Director of GCBO.

This free, public event offers a unique opportunity to learn about GCBO's efforts to protect avian species across the Americas.

Located on 34 acres of Columbia Bottomland Forest in Lake Jackson, Texas, GCBO administers critical conservation programs both locally and globally.

Martin Hagne will share insights into the current state of bird populations and discuss how individuals can contribute to their preservation.

Born and raised on the Swedish west coast, Martin developed a deep appreciation for nature early on.

After moving to the United States in 1979, he focused on wildlife viewing and conservation, leading various environmental education initiatives.

As Executive Director of GCBO, Martin continues to champion bird conservation efforts.

This virtual presentation will be conducted via Zoom.

The meeting link will be available in Travis Audubon's weekly e-newsletter starting in September.
